LAW ENFORCEMENT UNITED - TEAM COLUMBUS

Each May the membership of Law Enforcement United comes together in Chesapeake, VA and Reading, PA to participate in an annual bicycle trek to Washington, D.C.  The routes are 250 miles long and law enforcement officers, and survivors nationwide make this arduous journey pedaling to honor the service and sacrifice of their law enforcement colleagues and family members who have died in the line of duty.  The membership of Law Enforcement United is also comprised of logistical support including motor escorts, medial staff, food, hotel, and transportation support team members who support each of these riders during the three day journey.  The officers and survivors also ride to raise awareness of, and provide monetary support to Concerns of Police Survivors and the Officer Down Memorial Page.

In the team's inaugural year, Team Columbus had 9 riders and 1 support team member for the 2015 Road to Hope Ride.  The goal is to raise nearly $13,000 for Law Enforcement United in support of Concerns of Police Survivors and the Officer Down Memorial Page.

The team for 2016 will consist of 7 riders and 3 support personnel.
